One beach bag made! I am really happy with how this one turned out.
Now I just need to find a fabric to go with the other design!

I thought that I might like to make a couple of beach bags for my market stall. What I would like to do is have a single pattern on the bag with a pic on a pocket on the front. I found some designs that I liked on the embroidery Library. What do you think?
Then I couldn’t resist this vintage look one.
Now I just have to make the bags for them to go on!
Last year in the Melbourne stitches and craft show I saw a dress I feel totally in love with. It was truly amazing! It was made from selvedge all sewn together to make a vintage style dress that was just a wonder to behold. When I saw it there, I was just blown away by it. Then as I was doing my daily blog search for new and inspiring craft. I saw a chair covered in selvedge and after going back through the blog I found it….. The dress. The one I still think of when I am cutting the selvedge of a piece of fabric, and wish I could create such a work of fabric art. Anyway here it is I’d like to see if anyone could look at this and not just be blown away.
If you want to see more photos of it or the other amazing things on this blog just go to ric rac.
This week I found a couple of goodies but I think my fav has to be this bracelet.
At first glance I thought, oh yeah I like that, maybe I could separate the tiles and attach them to some of my buttons or something. Then when I got home and really looked at it. I just couldn’t break it up, so I wore it. A friend spotted it and commented on my gorgeous ‘gone with the wind’ tile bracelet. It wasn’t until then, that I had even given any thought to them actually being something over then sweet little tiles. Her theory is that they must have been part of a limited edition promotion thing back in the 5o’s maybe. If you know the history of them let me know! In the mean time I will just enjoy wearing it. After all it is quite cute!
I found it!
